Area Guide

The Best Things to Do in Pacifica, California

Pacifica perfectly sums up everything that’s great about California, from the warm weather to the picturesque beaches. Staying at our hotel, you’ll have easy access to all of it. Read on to learn about some of the area’s must-see attractions, as well as a few of our personal favorites.

Beaches

As its name would suggest, Pacifica boasts a number of inviting beaches where you can enjoy the cool Pacific waters. Pacifica State Beach is a great place to start — this wide, picturesque cove is a great choice for swimming and surfing. You’ll also find shops, eateries, and a skatepark just across the highway. Just north lies Rockaway Beach, and surfing Rockaway Beach is a great way to get a taste of the classic California experience. You can also keep going north, past Mori Point, to find Sharp Park Beach. This stretch of sand features a grass area, picnic tables, and a pier for fishing.

Hiking

Pacifica is also a great destination for Northern California hiking, and Sweeney Ridge Trail is an excellent place to start. We recommend doing the Mori Point hike, which branches off the main trail and heads toward the ocean. Further inland, San Pedro Valley Park features numerous trails and gorgeous views down toward the coast.

Golfing

The hotel puts you within close proximity to some great golf courses. Sharp Park Golf Course is the obvious choice, located just a five-minute drive from the property and featuring lovely coastal views.

Fishing

If you enjoy fishing, you’ll find plenty of great spots along the coast. Pacifica pier is just eight minutes away by car, and Pacifica pier fishing is some of the best in Northern California. If you happen to come at the beginning of November, you’ll be just in time for Pacifica pier crabbing season.
